About the Project
Black Fathering & Love is a multimedia project celebrating the profound bonds between Black fathers and their children. Through a traveling photo exhibit, digital platform, and documentary film, we illuminate the love, dedication, and resilience that define fatherhood in the Black community.
The project invites fathers, father figures, and families to contribute photographs and stories, creating a living archive of love across generations. From tender moments of connection to celebrations of milestones, each submission adds to a powerful counter-narrative that honors the presence and impact of Black fathers.
The flagship exhibit launches at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia in February 2026, with plans to tour museums, universities, and community centers nationwide. A companion documentary film is currently in production, featuring in-depth interviews with participating fathers and families.
Quotable
"This exhibit is about changing the narrative. For too long, Black fathers have been portrayed through a lens of absence. We're here to celebrate presence, love, and legacy."— Project Founder
"Every photograph in this collection tells a story of dedication, sacrifice, and unconditional love. These are the stories that need to be told."— Curatorial Team
